Is there a way to change to place that HTpasswdgenerator writes to. My system doesn't like having the local settings folder set off of "read-only". I administer this file locally and it only seems to write to the temp folder, but I always get an error that it can't write to it. Help please.

HtpasswdGenerator writes the program settings in
Documents and Settings\User_Name\Application Data\Htpasswd Generator
and the templates in
Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Htpasswd Generator

I don't understand why you've set the read-only property for 'Application data' folders?

Or maybe I've misunderstood something? Confused

When I hit "save All" I get an error stating:
Cannot create file C:\DOCUME~1\HUNTER~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\ht163010.tmp

the last bit (htxxxxxx.tmp) changes each time. I have tried to unset the read only attribute for the local settings directory but it always resets itself.
Am I missing something?

it's strange... Confused
the program writes the temporary files in the default temp folder.
Try to change the default temp folder and specify another than
Local settings\Temp

Read this article how to do it:

Okay, did that, but it sames to autohide the file which is what appears to be the real reason I can't save files directly. If I open the folder, unhide the files, and then save it is fine. Am I still missing something here?

I guess I don't really understand why you have set the read-only property for the app folders?
